BUILDING LEADERSHIP

…A Guide to Mental Toughness

HOW DO YOU GET TO BE MENTALLY TOUGH? YOU HAVE TO TRAIN YOUR MIND JUST LIKE YOUR BODY.

Michael Phelps

What Is Mental Toughness?

Mental Toughness Is A Measure Of An Individual’s Resilience And Confidence That Predicts Success

The Importance Of Mental Toughness

Athletes receive a large amount of physical training but very little, if any, mental toughness training. To have true mental strength does not mean we never fail or have fear. Mental toughness teaches us to push through our fears and failures and to prepare for the opportunities ahead. A lack of mental strength can become an athlete’s biggest enemy resulting in decreased performance and even quitting a sport. A mentally strong athlete is a leader that works to develop themselves and their team to build a winning mental routine. We help them strengthen both their internal and external dialogue to become a top leader.

Why Is Regular Mental Training Important?

Mental training isn’t something you can do in the heat of pressure. Mental toughness requires routine training to learn a process that helps you face pressure and push through the fear. Mental toughness needs to become a habit to better handle your internal self, others around you, and the circumstances that come your way. Our program will provide you the skills necessary to transform every area of your life.

Toni Cooper has been instrumental with my players development off the field. Not only has Toni provided my team with an understanding of what TEAM means, she has given my baseball players tools to help overcome obstacles in what were stressful situations. Toni has helped me understand that mental training is equally important as physical training.
